Folkestone Post Office is to be closed and services moved to a new "franchise" based at WHSmith in Sandgate Road says a review of Crown Post Offices by Post Office Ltd - unless a public consultation can change their mind. Shepway Lib Dems have condemned the proposals as leading to a reduction in the quality of service available to Folkestone.

These plans should save as much carbon as taking every car in the country off the road. They are crucial to tackling climate change.
